Update. . .

Papa Ray predicted correctly. MDG was delayed about 31 hours out of Kirkuk and is now sitting in a tent in Kuwait waiting for a flight out. Unfortunately, it looks like he will be spending a few days there. After he came home on leave in August I learned my lesson not to expect smooth traveling. Hope for the best and brace for the worst! Its hard not to get discouraged though. Dealing with the military gives me so many opportunities to practice patience!

Hang in there Sweetie. I love you

Not to worry MDG Wife. My wife is in a tent in Kuwaiit right now also, waiting to come home. They must have arrived the same day. They are in the same unit but don't know each other. Barring a sand storm, (none are predicted) they will leave Kuwaiit some time tomorrow afternoon/evening. That means a Halloween Homecoming.

Thank you for your contribution, on this weblog and on the homefront. And please thank your husband for his service and for keeping us informed. That is after you can stop kissing him.

It will be very good to have our spouses home. May God Bless you all.

I know I've said "Thank You" to our military folks a hundred different ways by now. This time I'd like to thank Mrs MDG and Randy (above) and every other family member who has sacrificed for the rest of us. You all amaze me. THANK YOU for your service.

Thanks for the info Randy. MDG only sent me a short email and thought they may not leave until the 1st. A Halloween homecoming would be a welcome thing at this point! One day seems like an eternity :)

My mom got home from vacation today and flew into town with some soldiers from the 116th that were just returning from Ft. Lewis. They were only there 6 days! Lets keep our fingers crossed!!
