Demob. . .

MDG finally made it to his demobilization site at Ft. Lewis. At this point we have absolutely no idea how long it will take him to go through that process. It seems to be completely random and unorganized (big shock there). I think the wives should be in charge of organizing it - we'd have them all home in a matter of days :)

Be patient Mrs. MDG. You're in the home stretch now. I'm so very happy for the both of you.

Mrs. MDG,

Back on friendly soil, and soon to be back in your warm embrace. That tunnel light is getting bigger and bigger. I couldn't be happier for you both.

God Bless you both.

My guess... 7-10 days. And other than the last week of pregnancy, I can't imagine a week lasting any longer than waiting to get that man back in your arms!

Well we are in the last days of this awful waiting. I am so tempted to run up to Ft. Lewis to go and see mine. But that would prove pointless. I know that this wait sucks but in the long run at least everything that they need to take care of will be done. Glad to hear that yours made it safely back home. I know that the wait sucks big time. Now knowing that he is a state away will be worse.
:( Sorry wish I had something better to say about that but I have been anxious every since I found out he landed. Only a few days left hopefully.

Your not the only one who is temped to run up there.. I really thought about it but decided against it. I have talked myself out of it a few times already.. A few more days is what I keep telling myself.. I can wait a few more days. Waited this long a few more days isn't going to kill me..

Heck we have made it through the last 18 months we are doing good..

hey Pete. I'll tell MDG to call you again the next time I hear from him. I know he wants to see you if he gets the chance. Sounds like they will be off in the evenings.

Mrs. MDG,

As I told Mike, remember that even this shall pass on. Your time is over. He will be home as soon as he absolutely can, and you are the first thing he wants to see.

Good luck, Ma'am. I wish you both many long happy years ahead. Enjoy yourselves.

Welcome Home, Mike. Well done.

You are exactly right, put the wives in charge and things will go like clockwork! Glad he made it back safely and I hope you can hug each other sooner rather than later!
