I'm praying for God to keep you safe as you travel... EVEN IF it means you're grounded for mainentance. I know you want to see MDG Wife ASAP but you wanna get there in one piece!
Congrats on going home to be with your wife, (I don't know if you have kids) God's speed on your flight. It's gotta be hell getting that close then having to wait. I'm sure the AF will get you out before you know it.
I'm glad you're going home.. perhaps waiting will, after making it all the more frustrating, make it all the more sweeter to arrive home to see those you love!! Luck and love to you.
Dude, being Air Force myself, when I needed to get out of (Your Location) last Fall I took the Army Sherpa down south. The Air Force took way too long, whereas the Army has more reliable transportation.
Better to complain about being grounded due to maintenance, than heading toward the ground because of lack of maintenance. Keep your spirits up, you'll be home soon. Take care and have fun.
Actually us AF geeks need a good hounding now and then. It's easy to get our heads stuck in the clouds (aka our arses) and forget where we came from and who got us there. Well, also because we deserve it. C'mon, any service that has 'Disco Nights' and 'Air Conditioned Mega Gyms' in a Combat Zone deserves it.

Happy for you that you get to come home, even if it's just for a bit.
Have a great time... travel safe!
El Capitain...
You, and an A-10 driver I knew a long time ago are the only AF guys that are exempt from the bad things I say about the blue-suiters.
