MilBloggers Meet...

I went to the gym today to do some cardio. I was standing in line, waiting to sign in and get a towel behind a couple of 101st ABN soldiers. I noticed the female soldier in front of me had her name and unit written on the stock of her rifle. I recognized the unit name. I asked her if she knew of a person in her unit that blogged under the pseudonym of Grey Eagle. She said "That's me!" (She's listed in my blogroll, under Lady Screaming Eagle I introduced my self, and we had a little discussion, about the FOB, the services available on post, and Kirkuk.

So, now I will have to change my blogroll, and put a category "Bloggers I've Met".

And, it also means.....my replacements are here....on the way stateside SOON!!!! HOOOAH!!

SCOUTS OUT!!!!

MDG...OUT.

Soon-to-be-a-Marine,

Well, I can't tell you what being a Marine is like, and I can't tell you what Iraq is like. But I will say "Semper Fi" and give you a big "Ooh-rah!"

Hey Chris, drop me a note and I'll direct you to some Jarhead sites. A couple you can correspond with that will write back.

Brad? That would be Soon-to-have-a-chance-to-be-a-Marine. I mean since we're getting all technical and stuff! ;-)

Really great you got to meet a blogger MGD. I've met 14 so far and not one has disappointed. Now, the same can't be said the other way around though! heh!

Glad to see your re-deploying soon. Outstanding! Well Done and Thank You all rolled into one! :-)
